Huawei has just unveiled what is now the world's thinnest smartphone!
It's just
6.18mm,
0.24inch thick, and has a 5mega pixel front facing Camera. Compared to 7.6mm for the iPhone 5. I think this is great but what other specs are there?
- A 1.5GHz quad core processor
- A lower amount than most smartphones - 8gb of internal storage but can be increased to 32gb
- Latest Android Jelly Bean operating system 4.2.2
- Weighs a bit more than the iPhone 5 at 120g (0.26)lb
- 3G network
- 8mp rear camera
- 2gb of Ram
So it's not that bad for being the thinest phone but it's limited to a 3G network and I think that will lower sales but costing only £380 (€449) for a SIM-Free phone it's quite good considering how much they have managed to pack in the thinnest phone in the world. In terms of contracts expect about £25 a month, around €27.
It's release date is set at July in 19 countries including Australia, Spain, UK, China and Italy so
do I think it's worth the money?
Yes I do, mainly, it's amazing how much they have in that phone and it looks quite stylish. A 8mp rear camera is easily enough for the happy snapper and a 1.5GHz processor it will easily withstand most games. It has the option to add extra storage and is much cheaper than the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4. But I don't know whether this is the phone that does miracles for Huawei.
